Conference and Symposia Support Services

During the course of any given year the Delaware Academy of Medicine is involved in the production, management, promotion, and marketing of educational conferences and symposia.

Three services we have found especially useful in the planning and promotion of education events are: WEBEX (for pre-planning meetings), CVENT (for conference registration and financial management), and our various targeted marketing channels.

To take advantage of these services you must be an individual member of the Delaware Academy of Medicine. ($25.oo per year)

   
Professional Membership - New *

This is our regular membership category for Physicians, Dentists, Advance Practice Nurses, Masters in Public Health and Health Sciences, Masters in Library Sciences, and others with advanced degrees in medicine, public health, and medical library sciences.

*This membership rate is for those who are new to the Academy or have not been an active member of the Academy of Medicine within the past three years. If you are unsure of your membership status, call 302-733-3952 and ask for Elizabeth Lenz.

When you become a member of the Academy, you join other Delawareans who support and encourage public health, health education, scientific research, education and professional excellence.

Membership features include:

  • No late fees on the Delaware Library Catalog (SIRSI)
  • Free or discounted attendace fees at many of the Academy's programs and events
  • Discounted rates on other a la carte Academy of Medicine services

CVENT Basic Registration Services

Are you planning to hold an event (training, seminar, conference, etc.) that requires advanced attendee registration services? If so, the Academy of Medicine's CVENT registration system will greatly streamline your registration process.

CVENT services include:

  • basic event set-up
  • event email "blast" to your distribution list
  • attendees can use their credit cards to securely pay their registration
  • a separate vendor track is available for payment and coordination as well
  • a separate per registration fee is charged for each attendee and is based on the type of event (public or professional) and the amount of the registration fee.
